I can't edit the file 051052.1
The checksum @ 1FFFC is 7447D073
Crcfixer changes it to 16DB873F which is the correct checksum
or was the correct checksum in the past for the address range
10000 to 1FFFC. If you let crcfixer change it, the receiver will
display err0 on powerup.
I had the same problem with 001051.1 but thought it was just
a fluke. The checksum @ 1FFFC must now be for a different range
of addresses. I want to edit in the 10000 to 1FFFC area so I need to
know how to adapt to the new checksum. Any helpful hints?

I have no problem in loading this file on a Lazer 2003 FTA with the included soft. Did you try another loader ? The file doesn't work anyhow since my receiver reports it as being from 05-16-2005 and hence is out of date.

It loads fine, like I said previously I can't edit and fix.
52.1 has no support for my provider, I have to edit.
Up until rev 51.1 I was able to do so with no problem.

hi slugworth
I try to edit myself 001051.1 last week with same results - err.0
I think they added some extra protection, I don't know.
Now I use an old pach (with via 2.4) with new keys.
best regards.

I could never edit the traditional lazer 0300xx.1 series of firmware either,
which has no built-in games. There is an extra checksum that crcfixer
doesn't do. I noticed a shift away from the 0300.xx series, replaced
by the 051xx or 052xx series which was easily modified until now.
When was the last time you saw a lazer firmware fix that was actually
0300xx.x series and not hevet 800/1000 firmware?
