The download contains the latest bin file and the
ALIMINUPG2.EXE file.
You may need to unzip the ALI... file again.

You will make your life easier if you put the
bin file and the aliminiupg2.exe along with the
casdata.ini file in the same folder.

With this version, you may have to go on Ushuaia TV channel, wait around
till it opens and then go to other channels.

Is it an auto update it patch?

yes it is auto tps and d , if you press info twice you will see how codes changing on tps and absat .also you can see some chanels in mediaguard like tvn and trace [music]to activate cw codes you press 2020 .to activate nagara 2 like d press 2121 after you press menu .enjoy

I followed all the steps, the only problem is that after opening the wali, selecting the latest s.w.v1 and com1, I switched on the receiver at the back....nothing happened [my cable is working very well, I tried with another receiver (sft 100e) and it worked]...what do you suggest?

when you select the firm,and switch on the receiver,press next for starting the flash
it says first"test serial port"and you have to have com 1 or com2 in your computer
if the com has another number,the easiest way is to change the number of the com and it will work

hi mate, thanks a lot!

I switched the receiver on at the back, then it says "test serial port statut" as you said, then nothing...how long does it take? ( or do I have to switch on the receiver with the remote control? (I've got com1 on my lap top)

By the way, how to get German channels "premiere" working?

ok, after switching the receiver on (with the remote control, it says "transfer data failed"???? Iried 2 times, :same result!

here's the latest patch, but ...
My problem is that when I switch on the receiver from the back, it says: test serial port status:finished
collect stb information:finished
start downloading :stay in 0%

Transfer data failed
click back to train again
click cancel to exit

I tried many times....without success (my cable is very good, I used it for my friend's receiver (sft1000e)

I look forward to hearing from you...

it s strange,i used the firm on my comag and u4111,and also for a fte100 and echolink for a friend,and it s perfect
try to check around your laptop,may be something to change in the port setting??
to fast transfert,or to slow???

I finally sort it out thanks to Mr Scruffy!!!

As I have a lap top, I used an usb-com cable+rs232, so, following Scruffy's advice, I changed a computer with a port com and it did work very well at the first try...

WATCH THIS. Sansmire is not the first to have had this problem with a USB to -> pin RS232 Null modem cable - which seems 100% OK because it flashed another Type of STB. Yet when used with ALIMINIUPGx and the MAX S100 clones Software appears to receive data from but will not to send data to these Echolink/S100 Type STB's with some USB Null Modem Cables.

Extract from the Unofficial User Guide
If you absolutely have to use a usb -> 9 pin null modem
BUT make sure you have the software for it and/ or set it up correctly.
(Some USB to 9 pin Null modem cables can be erratic in operation.)
